Type of wine: D.O.C.G. MORELLINO DI SCANSANO

Area of origin: The wine is produced in the common of Magliano in Toscana , in front of the Natural Park of Maremma.

Cultivation: Spurred cordon with rows going from North to the South. This particular vineyard keeping allows a good level of phoenolics maturation of the grape and the safeguarding of its typical aromas until the moment of the harvest. 6-8 bunck per grapes, plating layout 2,70 x0,80 m

GrapesSangiovese 90% Alicante 10%.

Harvest:  It is usually carried out in mid-September, after having evaluated the main parameters of phenolic maturity of the grape which is collected by hand and carried to the cellar with cases.

Vinification: The grapes vinified so strictly traditional in tanks of limited volumes is left to macerate for a period of 20 days with temperature control. During this time we stir contents twice a day to mix cap and liquid and we make often “delestage” so as to have a good extraction of polyphenolic components, which in addition to represent the color, also have direct feedback on the quality organoleptic characteristics of the product.

Maturation: The wine stay some months in stainless steel tanks until the start of summer when we bottle it.

Refiniment: At least 2 months in bottle before release

Color: Brilliant ruby red.

Bouquet: A combination of fresh red fruits flavours.

Taste: Pleasure in the mouth and a great balance make this Morellino di Scansano a tasty daily glass of wine. Fine tannins on the finish.
