Wine symbol of the Argentario, where, at the end of 1800, our first vineyards were born. We recommend it with second courses of fish and Tuscan cheeses with jams; also suitable for white meats.

Type of wine: D.O.C. Maremma Toscana Ansonica
Area of origin: The vineyard are located above the “Mount Argentario”, in Santa Potenziana, an historic place in the south of Maremma, just up to the sea of the homonym common, at 300m from sea level. An additional part of this vineyard are located in the principal estate of the Winery, in Orbetello, in front of the Natural Park of Maremma.
Cultivation: Sapling rows and guyot; the vineyards grown in a poor soil; this kind of middle texture causes a low numbers of buds, that can ensure a high quality level, typical feature of this wine.
Grapes: Ansonica 100%.
Harvest: Takes place in the third week of September, after the maturing progress of the grapes. The grapes are harvested manually, and carried upon ledges and finally moved in boxes till the wine cellar.
Vinification: The selected grape, after a soft pressing, that allows the extraction of the mature part of the fruit ad its clearness, undergoes a controlled maceration for 12/24 hours. It finally does its fermentation in steel tank under controlled temperature in order to preserve the aromas.
Maturation: The wine rests 5 months in steel, subjected to a periodically batonage to improve the complexity of the wine.
Refiniment: Min. 60 days in bottle before selling.
Color: Straw yellow and golden shades.

Taste: Full bodied wine, rich of character, own of its grapes. Perfect with fish courses and middle-aged cheeses.
